Hey, I know that guy!
Very excited to be appearing at Legends Con this weekend at the Marriott Burbank. This looks like a really fun show celebrating Star Wars Legends, AKA the Expanded Universe, and featuring some authors whose work I’ve long admired but whom I’ve never had the chance to meet.
Here’s my schedule, plus details about books for sale and signings. Hope to see you there!
Saturday, Sept. 9
10:15 am Non-Fiction Fiction (Mynock Room) — talking writing “non-fiction fiction” with Abel G. Pena
11:15 am The Continuing Adventures of Legends (Mynock Room) — how the Expanded Universe continues to inform new canon storytelling, with Abel, Henry Gilroy and Mike Kogge
2:15 pm Mapping the Galaxy (Ysalamir Room) — I talk galactic geography, from the first maps of the galaxy far, far away to The Essential Atlas to the latest cartography
3:15 pm Legends 101 (Ysalamir Room) — a crash course in the EU, covering everything from faves to entry points
5:15 pm Authors Geeking Out (Ysalamir Room) — I join Abel, Mike and Daniel Keys Moran to geek out about Legends things we love … but not our own work
Sunday, Sept. 10
11:15 am Make Mine Marvel (Mynock Room) — Abel, Mike and I fanboy about the original Marvel comics series
1:15 pm Storytelling in a Shared Universe (Mynock Room) — I discuss working in a shared universe with Henry Gilroy, Barbara Hambly and Sean Stewart

Signings/Book Sales
When I’m not on panels or grabbing In-N-Out Burger I’ll be at Booth P in the Exhibit Hall. I’ll be selling copies of The Essential Atlas, The Essential Guide to Warfare and The Clone Wars Character Encyclopedia: Join the Battle, as well as The Jupiter Pirates: Hunt for the Hydra and a few obscure Legends titles I found in my archives.
You can buy a book, or bring anything from home for me to sign/personalize for free.
Hope to see you there!
