Star Wars Galaxy Map Update
Overdue thanks to some cartographic heroes!
We’ve updated the Star Wars galaxy map and its accompanying appendix.
Besides star systems appearing on the galaxy map for the first time, you’ll notice some star systems that were mapped last time now don’t appear. I promise that they’re still where they were, and you’ll be able to find their information in the appendix. Star systems will come and go from the map to reflect recent storytelling, honor earlier stories, and provide different views of the galaxy far, far away.
Some long overdue thanks to five Wookieepedians who were invaluable correspondents through a very long process and did (and in some cases are still doing) yeoman work tracking down lost systems, raising good questions and making the galaxy map and appendix far better. To Cade Calrayn, Hk 47, Imperators II, ThrawnChiss7 and DXS MaXoO, thank you thank you thank you! And a thank you to Alex Geslin for helping bring three stubborn The Old Republic systems into the light!
And thank you as always to Lucasfilm’s Story Group, Dennis VonGalle, and the folks at DK. None of this would be possible without them!
If you see an omission or mistake, email essential.atlas@gmail.com and we’ll take a look. Before you do, however, note that this current revision doesn’t include all recent storytelling, and that we hold off on placing some star systems when we think that could be premature.
To make the lives of Wookieepedians and other cartography hounds easier, here’s a list of new entries for this revision, entries that have changed, unlisted entries, and entries that have been removed:

Metagos being situated on the Cadma Conduit threw me for a loop when I was taking the Trailblazer to Junkfort Station. I got the Wild Card DLC, plotted out my way to Nwarcol Point, saw Metagos pop up, and I was like, "Wait, that's the Glass Abyss world!" Several playthroughs of Outlaws later and I still haven't explored it or know if New Xaxxis has changed much by 3 ABY. I figure it'd make a nice hideout for Kay and the gang?
Why not do something like this for sentient alien species
